What can you expect?

Business Development plays a key role in the ongoing growth of the company through new revenue, by researching demand trends, identifying prospects, and executing plans to acquire new clients.  This role will lead and inspire a multi-team department to execute its strategy and achieve its operational goals.

We will count on you to:

Lead market research efforts for a specific industry or large and dense region in alignment with internal priorities and the general business strategy and rely on extensive knowledge of product and service offerings and the competitive environment to identify and vet potential business opportunities.Approve and delegate the prospect and product sales target lists, leveraging insights garnered from internal and external contacts to establish product goals and strategize sales team professionals and potential accounts as they best fit with team members' capabilities.Coach team on identifying, marketing, selling and closing complex, high risk and nuanced business deals and act as the mentor and advisor for a medium-sized team located in a large/ dense region or representing a prolific industry.Maintain personal sales numbers, handling complex, high risk, high yield potential accounts scheduling and maintaining multiple sales calls and prioritizing multiple sales presentations applying judgement to ensure no resources are wasted and maximum value is met.Leverage experience and credibility to assist with sales meetings in partnership with a sales professional for particularly nuanced or high risk accounts.Define and effectively communicate sales target metrics and priorities to direct reports and monitor progress against metrics to ensure team and personal performance are maintained and suitable in accordance with business expectations.Direct recruitment processes for own team by identifying candidates, conducting interviews, and deciding and negotiating aspects of the value proposition package.Monitor individual team members' performance and administer performance reviews and career consultations to cultivate a successful and proficient team.Organize, attend, speak and present at relevant industry conferences and act as a prominent, contributing member of relevant professional organizations and societies to expand and maintain a large professional network, gain industry/ market exposure and to positively represent the Company and its offerings.

What you need to have:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales within a financial services or wealth management industry.  Proven track record of successfully leading teams and driving revenue growth.Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and inspire a diverse team.  Strong coaching skills to develop team members in identifying, marketing, selling and closing complex business deals.Comprehensive understanding of the wealth management landscape acquired through experience in a global institution.  Preference will be given to candidates with international experience.Proven experience in managing high-risk, high-yield accounts with a strong ability to prioritize and execute multiple sales strategies effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders, including clients and industry professionals.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to assess market opportunities and develop actionable plans to achieve business objectives.A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.  An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent, CFA or CPA) is preferred.
