Union Data Center Technician Job ID 218404 Posted 08-May-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Construction, Data Centers Location(s) Kansas City - Missouri - United States of America **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** · Decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment · Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement. · Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders. · Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness · Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices. · Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles. · Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work. · Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies · 4 + years In-depth knowledge of Cat 5, Cat 6 · 3 +years of in-depth knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, such as VFL, power meter, Fluke Versive 5000 and OTDR · 3+ years’ experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies · 3+ years’ experience troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords. **SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS** · Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency. · Must have experience working in data centers, telco, IT operations, or related technical field. · Any server, OS, Network, or data center certification (including in-progress) are a plus. · Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) · Must be a professional, accurate, urgent and provide quality. · Ability to work alone or in teams with minimal instruction.
