Trade Compliance Specialist

Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesFor the global supply chain management within the Trade Compliance area in Nänikon-Greifensee, we are looking for a committed and independent Trade Compliance Specialist 100% (all genders)
In this role, your responsibilities would include: You determine the country of origin for manufactured products and accessories, for various sites located in different regionsYou maintain the country of origin for products, accessories, components and spare parts Play an active role and provide trade compliance input to effectively implement ESG initiativesYou improve Cargo Security programs You establish accurate TARIFF classifications across a very broad assortment of products, components, materials, and spare parts; and maintain appropriate material master data Ensure compliance with all customs rules and regulations and execute assigned projects and initiatives Last but not least you monitor and coordinate shipping activities to ensure compliance with governmental requirementsWhat You Need to SucceedFollowing requirements are necessary for this role: You have a commercial education with good experiences in import/export customs clearances and relevant work experiences at least 3 years in a similar role preferably within an international industrial companyCustoms-specific further training (logistics specialist, foreign trade specialist or similar training) is an advantage Very good MS Office (Excel) and SAP user skills are a prerequisite for daily business, experience in SAP MDG is an advantageYou like to work independently, with a high degree of personal responsibility, are proactive, flexible as well as well-positioned as well as team-oriented and stand out with good analytical skills and a pronounced quality mindsetFurthermore you have fluent communication skills in English and GermanOur Offer to YouWe offer:Flexible working hours (depending on the role), a hybrid work model, and a wide portfolio of training opportunitiesA 40-hour work week with at least 25 vacation days per year, plus 4 to 7 additional days off between bank holidaysFree parking and direct access to public transportHealthy lunches cooked onsite at our own METTLER TOLEDO restaurant, with special prices for employees A dynamic and innovation-driven corporate culture that promotes teamwork, personal development, and a passion for excellence.A range of additional attractive benefits, including employee discounts at select area businessesYou can expect challenging, interesting, and varied tasks in an innovative and international environment, with the opportunity to network globally and achieve your career goals.
