Trade Compliance Specialist
Job Description

Danfoss Mexico is looking for an enthusiastic Trade Compliance Specialist for our Reynosa Plant. You will have the opportunity to become part of a thriving and motivated department, where you can challenge yourself by managing a versatile and comprehensive position with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities.
As Trade Compliance Specialist you will be responsible to maintain and update compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures. The GTM Specialist reports to the Senior Trade Compliance Manager of Mexico. The GTM Specialist is responsible for engagement delivery, customs compliance and quality, productivity and report management, and exception management. Within the responsibility of project delivery, the GTM Specialist performs free-trade agreement (FTA) analysis (e.g., USMCA, MX-Colombia, EU-MX, and many others), and post-entry activities as needed or HS Determination based on a deeply technical analysis. Ensure the communication with the sites to enhance the Trade activity. Provides expertise and knowledge to the GTM team members. Prioritize the analysis of each product that represents high impacts to the company based on forecasts of sales. It is also responsible to maintain the GTS system in compliance with the rules of FTA to perform daily activities. Coordinates activities with brokers to ensure the utilization of FTA for all trade operations.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

Execute FTA solicitation and qualification, ensuring all necessary documentation is retained to ensure full compliance; Ability to fully explain the rules of the FTA to internal/external customers, detailing why a particular item qualifies or does not qualify for the FTA. Carry out qualification and Classification projects, to deliver them on time and enhance communication with GTM Managers and businesses to communicate monthly results and KPI’s to avoid any FTA (primarily USMCA) Claims risk. Prepare all documentation needed to assist with Pre and Post Entry activities such as CF28, CF29, protests, refunds, drawback, Post entry amendments. Identify situations and events where formal communication is necessary; works with others to consider communication approaches; assists in the development of messaging. Perform all job functions with adherence to Danfoss policies and procedures, values and ethics code of conduct. Maintain stretch communication with US brokers to ensure the FTA usage in all trade activity. Background & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Trade or Customs 5-7 Years Experience  Free Trade Agreements USMCA, RVC, de minimis, tariff shift GTS FTA Functionality  LTVD: Long Term Vendor Declarations, request to suppliers all documents regarding the USMCA, certificates, affidavits, other. GTS FTA Functionality: Manage the system to perform FTA process Trade compliance knowledge: Be able to identify potential risks on the systems calculations.
