The Trade Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring fast delivery to customers and manufacturing sites by applying for import/export permits and setting restrictions correctly. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of internal shipments, allowing products to be delivered on time and mitigating risks for distribution and manufacturing sites by ensuring the correct classification, valuation, and origin of the goods. This position reports to the Customs & Trade Compliance Lead and is part of the Legal and Company Secretary located in Hangzhou,China and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Monitor and optimize stock transfers between offices, create export shipment documentation and apply for CIQ permits for exports of manufacturing materials and stock from China to all other offices. + Track shipments to and from China and troubleshoot issues causing customs delays. + Ensuring that Abcam only imports and exports goods to and from China where this is permitted by relevant authorities. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain /Logistics or a related field + At least one year of experience working in import/export relevant department, familiar with international trade regulations and China customs compliance.
