Primary Qualifications and experience\:

 

ü  Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

ü  5 years related industry experience with power electronics and testing.

with a focus on medium power 3-phase equipment. Knowledge on testing inverters including Grid Tie inverter, hybrid Inverter, charge controllers and UPS is desirable.

ü  Requirement Analysis, Test Case Writing, Test case Execution, Defect Reporting

ü  Candidates having experience in test Automation using Python scripting are preferred.

ü  Shall be able to understand electrical design and support team in finding weak links in design and work towards resolution and permanent fix

ü  Shall train newcomers on Testing techniques, standards, and inverter topology

ü  Shall be capable of writing white papers on relevant subjects

ü  knowledge on Grid Tie Grid code standards is must and shall be SME on relevant subjects

    shall be able to prepare test plan and responsible for accurate test results

Job Description\:

 

To perform the test and verify performance of PV/Grid Tie inverter(off-grid/on-grid) storage systems and charge controllers as per the functional specification, implicit industry standards, and design standards.To Test, collect, analyze the test results and communicate to design team. Work closely with design engineers.To Plan, identify, and procure the test equipment as per the test requirementTo prepare the test plan, procedures and test reports is must.Shall manage lab equipment, handling and calibration.Conduct product safety/ performance tests on Electronic & Electrical products according to standards or testing methods/SOPs

 

 

Skills and Requirements\:

 

Perform Electrical/Electronic products sample “construction checks”, Prepare samples & test plan and conduct test program as per prescribed testing methods/ Test Request Form, standards / specifications. Support & conduct testing according to relevant standards. Prepare test data sheets &reportsFollow & Oversee for Testing Integrity, test-data/record Accuracy and equipment used for test. Consumable use, if req.Provide feedback to Manager/ Mgmt regarding processes and recommendations for improvements. Ability to work with team engineers and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge & Aptitude for testing of PV inverter (preferred) /Electronics /laboratory instruments / manufacturing sector. Hands on testing experience is a must.Working knowledge of IEC / EN / UL standards relating to electronics products.Understanding of product Electro Magnetic Compliance testing requirements would be an advantageReliable Contributor- Individual and Team work ethicInitiative and independence in solving problems and developing methods.Capability plan ahead & Flexibility to perform multiple tasks. Shall be able to read and understand the specifications, drawings and schematics.Knowledge of test equipment like CRO, AC/DC Source, Power Analyzers, transformers, Multimeters, Data loggers etc.Good understanding of analog and digital circuits, power electronics circuits.Experience with test processes, safe work practices, and experimental techniques used in high power AC/DC systemsBe able to evaluate, specify, implement, validate and troubleshoot power components\: IGBTs, MOSFETs and gate drive circuits, high power capacitors, chokes/inductors, transformers etc. Effective coordination with internal & external resources towards work completionSupport manufacturing in testing of products and verification of second source componentsRequires strong written and verbal communication skillsComputer proficiency with Windows- Excel & Word & power point
