Job Description

As a Test Engineer for Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to design, lead, organize processes and best practices to facilitate effective functional regression test planning, execution, result collating, anomaly triage, and reporting. When you join our Engineering organization, you become part of a team that believes in knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration and that is committed to using reliable and well thought out engineering practices and technology to overcome any challenges. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

Your Responsibilities:Designs and develops tools, processes, and best practices to facilitate functional test regression.Communicates design and test strategy through demonstrations, hands-on tutorials and technical documentation.Interacts with Rockwell automation software, hardware, and firmware products in physical and virtualized lab environmentsMaintains documentation, databases, and processes.Analyze regression results and summarize inconsistenciesPrioritize and execute multiple activities in parallel.Work closely with product teams to ensure proper test coverage and timelines.Clearly communicates and conveys concepts, both verbally and written.Able to learn and understand complex automation and control system concepts.Leverages own expertise by sharing lessons learned, documenting processes, conducting team de-briefs, etc.

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.Typically requires 2 years of experience in Test Engineering, Software or Applications Engineering, DevOps, Technical Support, Quality Assurance role, or other SDLC engineering roleWorking knowledge of Python, Java, PowerShell, or other scripting languagesExperience with Rest API’s or custom web services is desiredProficient in Windows operating systemsAble to apply knowledge of software development and test methodologiesMust exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsExperience with standard version control systems - GitKnowledge of test case management and execution toolsKnowledge of Agile principles, tools and techniques is desiredExperience with Rockwell Automation products or other industrial control equipment
