Join our Technology team
Our Turbomachinery & Process Solutions business provides industry-leading products and services that optimize extraction, production and processing of energy. As a team with integrity, we create value with impact decisions by effectively connecting ideas and people. We champion entrepreneurial culture to unlock full potential by bringing energy to the world.
In this context, we have taken up the technological challenge required to reduce the environmental impact of the turbomachinery produced, with the target to reach the zero net emission within the 2050.
System engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline, dealing with all activities needed to develop a solution to meet both the market need and the technical requirements of internal and external customers. System engineer will act as integrator among other engineering disciplines, being directly responsible of developing fluid system design of compressor and steam turbine auxiliary systems.
Partner with the best
In the context of Innovation Programs for compression and steam technology serving industrial markets in the energy transition space, Technology Lead System Engineer will be responsible for System Engineering activities for New Product Development (NPD) Programs sponsored across different growth areas such as Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage, Hydrogen Production, Clean Power Solution and Emission Abatement.
Proposed innovative solutions shall consider the reliability and safety aspects, critical services in terms of operating conditions (i.e. high design pressure and temperature) and/or process fluids (i.e. supercritical CO2, Hot Potassium), applicable standards, costs and Program constraints with the target of reduce environmental impact, increase efficiency of turbomachinery auxiliary systems and market penetration in unconventional applications.
In particular:
Pioneering the use of innovative engineering solutions to reduce cost, increase system efficiency, optimize product sustainability and life cycle assessment.
Supporting procurement in scouting new Suppliers when an unconventional solution is selected.
Development and finalization of the main document for auxiliary systems design (i.e. P&IDs).
Developing predictive system design through modeling and numerical simulation (Matlab/Simulink, FloMaster, Hysis).
Providing good expertise on turbomachinery operation and relevant auxiliary system design.
Issuing technical documentation for assigned deliverables with high focus on quality, completeness, consistency and alignment with Program requirements and internal standards.
Attending Design Reviews and internal meetings with other functions to validate design system and technology solutions.
Promoting synergies with other disciplines, departments, Teams and partnership with University or Research Center.
Cooperating with procurement for proper design to cost and with suppliers for performing technical alignments.
Supporting continuous improvement and cost-out initiatives.
Contribute with technical expertise to new energy technology solutions development such as Hydrogen, CO2, CCUS and Energy storage.
Driving and broadcasting the innovative ideas generation process, managing risk and focusing on residual risks and mitigation plan.
