This position is part of the Resilience function at Thomson Reuters, which includes Global Security, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) functions. Reporting to Physical Security, the Technical Security Project Manager is responsible for leading security and business critical projects involving physical security systems implementation, testing, commissioning and acceptance for Thomson Reuters global critical infrastructure including centre of excellences, leased co-locations, and other types of facilities. This position is responsible for working directly with internal and external teams, including architects, engineers, security vendors, construction/project managers, and customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services across a wide array of stakeholders and priorities. The individual will assist by providing insights on technical and industry-leading trends and making necessary recommendations.
About The Role:
Develop and maintain a current implementation plan, incorporating sustainability dimensions throughout the project lifecycle.Manage the delivery of required outputs, ensuring quality and compliance with the implementation plan, mergers and acquisitions, and new acquisitions.Facilitate the development and upgrading of systems and programs and liaise with external partners.Monitor project progress, control changes, and manage risks to maximize stakeholder benefits.Ability to determine the appropriate security systems solutions and manage a demanding workload in the execution of multiple concurrent projects across geographic and organizational boundaries.Responsible for implementing the design and specification of alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, burglary, radio systems and all other types of physical security equipment to achieve security program goals for special projects and initiatives.Review, edit, improve physical security designs and scopes of work for security system and project work to ensure compliance and standardization to established baselines, cost and schedule efficiency, and policy.Compile metric reports and tracking to ensure project delivery is measurable and relevant reports are generated for analysis.Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program.Collaborate with peer teams and organizations to ensure their team is aligned with broader strategy and initiatives, fully supporting leadership priorities, being good partners, helping reduce costs, time burden, and complexity, and being responsive trusted advisors.Continuously seek data and recommend strategies and ideas to reduce churn, optimize, implement a creative solution to a problem, scale, automate, and simplify.Deliver assigned projects in accordance with established requirements, deadlines, and applicable employment law and company policy.Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and always protect all sensitive information.About You:
Experience in delivering security programs within a corporate environment or related fields.Bachelor’s degree in business, security, engineering discipline or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.At least 7 years of experience in managing the deployment of physical security systems, security engineering solutions and designs, as well as supporting implementation throughout construction project lifecycles.Direct experience in the engineering, design and/or installation of enterprise security systems in datacentres or other critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable.Proficient-level skill using Microsoft Office Suite.Certifications PMP, or CSPM certifications are highly desirable.Ability to use problem solving skills to provide business insights and recommendations from data sets.Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.Manages assigned projects responsibly, completes tasks in a timely manner, and delivers on time even under tight deadlines.Able to change plans, goals, actions and priorities in response to an evolving business environment, with awareness to operate for course corrections when necessary.Able to develop and maintain security-related processes, procedures, program baseline, training and improvement plans.Able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills, must have the ability to ask for clarification without prompting.Ability to adapt to new and changing environments and quickly learn to use new resources and tools.Strong work and compliance ethic.#LI-HS1
