Job Description: Senior Technical Product Owner 

Location: Atlanta, GA 

  

Job Summary:  

The Technical Product Owner will lead the product development process by working closely with Scrum teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of APIs and customer-focused solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API implementation, experience with Swagger, and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly in Scrum and Sprint environments. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

API Implementation: Leverage strong experience with API implementation, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across platforms. 

Swagger Expertise: Utilize experience with Swagger to document and design APIs, enhancing transparency and usability. 

Customer Experience Development: Develop and enhance a tactical and transaction-level understanding of customer experiences to identify areas for improvement. 

Agile Backlog Development: Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain the Agile (Scrum/Sprint) team backlog, ensuring it reflects business priorities. 

User Story Collaboration: Work with Agile teams and partners to write detailed user stories and requirements, including acceptance criteria and tests, for one or two Agile teams. 

Backlog Prioritization: Review and prioritize the Agile team backlog for iteration planning, coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners. 

Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with System and Solution Architects/Engineers to assess enabler work, assisting in decision-making and sequencing of technical infrastructures. 

Primary Contact for Stories: Serve as the primary resource and contact for technical and customer teams regarding user story details, providing real-time clarification during sprints. 

Story Elaboration Management: Manage the efficient flow of just-in-time story elaboration activities throughout team execution, maintaining readiness for three iterations. 

Team Demo Participation: Lead the review and acceptance of completed user stories during team demos, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria and the team's Definition of Done (DoD). 

Retrospective Participation: Participate in Iteration Retrospectives and support the Agile Release Train's (ART's) Inspect and Adapt workshops to improve team processes. 

Coordination of Dependencies: Coordinate user story, functional, and technical dependencies with other Product Owners during iterations and Program Increments, often in PO/ART sync meetings. 

Continuous Improvement: Work with Agile teams to develop improvement stories aimed at increasing program velocity and quality. 

Accountability: Be accountable and responsible for the quality and performance of user stories in the production environment. 

Collaboration: Develop positive working relationships with Agile teams and customers, collaborating across departments, including sales, commercial accounting, marketing, legal, go-to-market, and finance. 

Partnership Development: Partner with business and internal/external partners to understand current customer experiences and identify areas of opportunity for enhancement. 

 

Qualifications: 

Proven experience in API implementation and Swagger. 

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Sprint. 

Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Experience in developing user stories and managing Agile backlogs. 

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

The base salary range for this position is $91,457 - $137,186, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
