Technical Intern

Our team’s expertise spans modeling and simulation, natural language processing, and AI-driven analytics, and we partner with leading commercial companies like AWS and Microsoft Azure to ensure the latest technologies are available to our clients, including the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and other federal agencies. As a Technical Intern (Physics & Data), you will work with team members across multiple domains to apply your academic knowledge to solve real-world challenges. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in data analytics, physics, and technology, contributing to the development of solutions that impact our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Collaborate with team members on a real-world project that directly supports one of KBR’s programs.Help create reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the project.Create and manipulate 3D models and CAD drawings. Document system designs, processes, and procedures. Requirements gathering and system modeling to define system behaviors. Document test results, maintenance procedures, and design changes for team review.Perform other duties as assigned. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

Clearance, Citizenship, Other: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be a US Citizen. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance if needed to support program operations.  

Experience & Education:

Must be pursuing a BS degree in Physics from an accredited college or university in the US.Must have an overall GPA of 3.5 or greater.Must have a current undergraduate standing as a Junior (60-89 credits), or Senior (90+ credits). This is an entry level position- 0+ years of formal technical work experience required.   

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Prior internship or experience supporting DoD customers.Some entry level experience and passion in design, 3D CAD design (Solidworks, Creo, or similar) is desired. Experience working with programming software.Must have a strong STEM background and be comfortable working with advanced technology Ability to manage multiple task and projects effectively, and routinely interact with cross-functional groups Good communication skills, verbal and written Good interpersonal skills
