Role Summary:
Aon is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to help drive innovation in our accelerating Digital business across the Asia Pacific region. We maintain an extensive roadmap of projects requiring a Technical Analyst who can start fast and get in deep. You will be working on solutions that make a difference to our clients in new ways by being part of a team who live and breathe customer experience.
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring business and customer outcomes are achieved. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the technical aspects of regional digital products, projects and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions, while providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver, a good communicator, and possesses a deep understanding of technologies and standard methodologies.
What the day will look like
+ Working with various Business / Product teams to understand the end to end business processes of regional digital platforms
+ To be the technical subject matter expert (SME) representing regional digital platforms.
+ Creating technical requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria for regional digital platforms
+ Creating technical flow diagrams, UI mock-ups, wireframes, etc.
+ Working with the Agile Build teams / Dev teams and third-party technical teams for creating / testing and validating technical requirements.
+ Working with Solution Architects and Product Managers to fill in technical requirement gaps.
+ Ensure regional digital platform knowledge is documented, recorded, and maintained.
+ Comply and/or consult with Aon Global Security Servies (GSS) on all standards.
+ Support the application management and support (AMS) teams and product managers during platform issue escalations.
+ Constantly seek opportunities to reduce technology dept.
+ Undertake and/or facilitate specialised and general testing as required, including external stakeholders where relevant.
+ Participate in deployments when new products are enhanced or added. Provide trainings when necessary.

Your Technical Skills
+ Demonstrable experience working with modern Software Development Lifecycles.
+ Proven experience with the production of technical requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
+ Proven experience with the production of technical flow charts, screen design and screen elements such a controls and behaviour.
+ Proven experience of data and data relationships including knowledge of various data layout formats and structures. Including analytics, tags and UTM.
+ Demonstrable experience in managing written communications between customers and internal business units.
+ Lives and breathes the customer experience and voice of the customer.
+ Proven understanding of API’s, data flows, and mappings/transformations.
+ Proven understanding of modern Content Management Systems (CMS), integration and development.
+ Proven understanding of web technologies, frameworks and design. Including JavaScript, NodeJs and Microsoft .NET.
Your Knowledge
+ Experience in the insurance industry is desirable.
+ Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role and/or a software development role and/or a web developer role. With a recognised technical qualification.
+ Analysing current and future processes and identifying gaps.
+ A keen interest in design, usability and online digital experiences.
+ Continuously increasing personal and technical skills and actively strive for self-improvement.
Important
+ Working knowledge of Relational Database’s and evidence of competence with Microsoft SQL.
+ Understanding and proven experience with modern integration patterns.
+ Understanding and proven experience with modern software development languages.
+ The aptitude to work in virtual teams of distributed colleague’s based in various countries, using modern communication tools and video conferencing.
+ Familiarity with Cloud Platforms, example Azure/AWS or DevOps environments.
+ Experience working with Agile tools and tracking technical requirements to deliverables including JIRA, Confluence and Visio along with exposure to Agile or Hybrid project delivery methods.
