Tech Lead, Software Development EngineeringWhat Does a Successful UI Engineer Do at Fiserv?A successful UI Engineer at Fiserv plays a crucial role in crafting exceptional user experiences across our digital products. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. They are responsible for:
Developing and maintaining high-quality UI components and visual design guidelines that enhance the overall user experience.Implementing responsive designs using modern frameworks such as React JS and Tailwind CSS.Engaging actively in the Agile/Scrum development process, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive project progress.Creating interactive prototypes that effectively demonstrate design concepts and facilitate stakeholder feedback.Maintaining strong communication with team members to present ideas and concepts clearly and confidently.Continuously optimizing user interfaces based on user feedback and testing to ensure usability and accessibility.What You Will Need to Have:Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI development.Proficiency in React JS and Tailwind CSS (Mandatory).Strong understanding of JavaScript frameworks.Experience in Agile/Scrum software development processes.Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas effectively.Track record of working within large enterprise teams and/or start-ups.What Would Be Great to Have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Knowledge of additional front-end technologies such as TypeScript or Redux.Experience with usability testing and gathering user feedback for continuous improvement.Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD for creating prototypes.Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices in UI design.Thank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
