Tax Accountant
Under the supervision of the Manager, Tax, the Tax Accountant will be accountable for preparing tax filings. Ensures all work is complete, accurate and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in improving tax related aspects for RGP. This position will be hybrid with 3 days onsite at our Irvine office. + Prepare sales & use, gross receipts, other indirect tax calculations and returns for all applicable U. . jurisdictions including states and cities and Canada + Update tax rates timely & communicate changes to other departments + Review AP invoices for related use tax obligations + Prepare income tax provision and income tax compliance calculations including book to tax differences, fixed assets reconciliation and rollforward, estimated tax payments + Organize, file and maintain documentation in the Sharepoint site + Gather information for tax notices for indirect tax and income tax + Analyze general ledger accounts to support both direct and indirect tax calculations + Research issues as needed to reduce tax exposure + Be willing to learn both indirect and income tax + Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited University majoring in tax or accounting + 1+ years of experience in tax accounting + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational skills with an attention to detail and an eye for accuracy + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate effectively and professionally via all communication channels + Proficient in business systems applications such as Microsoft Office; intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred + All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors, including geographic location, market, and operational factors. + Base Pay Range: $66,400 - $83,000 + Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation + Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, 21 Days of Paid Time Off Per Year, 8 Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required) + An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies, and qualities that set our team apart.
