We are seeking a dynamic and documented qualified executive leader. Marine Business Unite consist of 14 Market Units globally that are driving sales and services across our three segments—Leisure, Commercial, and Yachts/Superyachts. Your mission will be to drive sales, secure high customer satisfaction, and manage and develop the total offer for marine including the Service Market and retail development. This role comes with full P&L responsibility for the entire Marine Business, offering an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a pioneering and innovative company.

 

The SVP Marine Business Unit will report directly to the CEO of Volvo Penta and be a member of Volvo Penta Executive Management Team. The leader of this function has a very good eye for the end-to-end perspective, starting and ending with people and collaboration in every aspect of it. 
Your mission will be to shape a commercial organization in a culturally diverse setting in a fast changing business environment, both for us and our Marine customers.

 

Core responsibilities:

Grow the Volvo Penta Marine Business with full profit and loss responsibility Develop and execute long term and short-term sales, service and marketing strategy and plans for the Marine  business with a strong customer focus Elevate and execute the vision and strategy for the transformation Evolve and establish excellent relations with customers and partners Collaborate cross the organization vertically and horizontal to secure customer success and best-in-class customer satisfaction You will be a member of the Volvo Penta Executive Group, which means that you are expected to contribute outside your function and participate in strategy formulation and business decisions of Volvo Penta.  As a key player on the executive team, you will be instrumental in shaping the Volvo Penta future and be the voice of the Marine customer.

 

Your profile and experience:
We believe you have a strong commercial profile and a proven ability to successfully ignite Sales and Marketing activities as well as financial and operational knowledge.

 
You have an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to quickly adapt to changes in the marketplace to secure customer and business success. Since networking and cross-functional collaboration is vital in this role, great communication skills in terms of both dialogue and presentations are needed.

Your ability to empower, inspire and build trustful relations will be key. As a leader, you live and breathe our company values: Trust, Customer Success, Passion, Change and Performance. You understand the importance of communicating a clear vision and goal, you know how to motivate a global and multi-cultural team.

Your leadership and coaching qualities will be very important in this role. Extensive professional experience from executive positions with overall responsibility of the whole scope of operation from a global environment is needed. 

Extensive knowledge of the marine industry is a significant advantage. Indeed, understanding both the technology and the industry is crucial to driving transformation.
