Amazon's Denied Party Screening (DPS) mission is to prevent denied entities from transacting with Amazon businesses. We build automatic mechanisms to detect and prevent prohibited transactions with the denied entities using a diverse set of algorithms and machine learning techniques. We screen over a half a billion events every day, integrate with Tier 1 systems and deal with unique scaling and TPS challenges. We are still day 1 and have an exciting road map to build ML powered detection and resolution framework to help scale Amazon for years to come.
We're looking for a proven Support Engineer to be part of our systems team. Our ideal candidate will have a deep focus on customers (internal and external), is able to write SOPs and work closely with the software development teams to setup the Tier-1 and Tier-3 support models and execute them as part of the operations procedure and SLA. Ability to learn and use scripting languages to implement Automation solutions is critical. Someone who played DevOPS role is a big plus.
Roles and responsibilities :
In this role, you will become intimate with the current systems, solutions and what SOPs are being used to handle the operational excellence, work with Software developments to onboard and sustain the front-line support (Tier-1), ability to provide automation ideas and also where possible automate the manual SOPs. Provide support on operational issues, define the processes / mechanisms for providing tier-1 support, identify and automate manual steps to improve the overall productivity and your ability to develop tools / scripts that will help automate the manual operational excellence steps is a big plus.
