Production Planning Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing material inventory to ensure efficient production processes. You will analyze demand forecasts, coordinate with suppliers, and collaborate with various departments to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing costs.The work model for the role is onsite. #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in Senatobia, MS.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tAnalyze production schedules and demand forecasts to determine material requirements.•\tDevelop and maintain inventory management strategies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize excess inventory.•\tCollaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of materials.•\tMonitor and manage inventory turnover, identifying opportunities for improvement.•\tUtilize ERP systems to track inventory levels, manage orders, and generate reports on material usage.•\tCommunicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material-related issues and ensure smooth operations.•\tPrepare regular reports on inventory status, material planning metrics, and trends for management review.•\tParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred\t1+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role within a manufacturing or supply chain environment\tProficiency in material planning software and ERP systems, SAP preferred\tAdvanced Excel skills using pivot tables, etc. \tAble to work with cross functional teams\tStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.\tStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
