PURPOSE:
The planning master data is critical for inventory management and operational efficiency. Over time, some of the data has become inconsistent, outdated, and cluttered, leading to inefficiencies in decision-making and planning processes. The Supply Chain Planning intern will have the opportunity to work on initiatives to improve data accuracy, streamline operations, and support better business outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The intern will have the opportunity to work on the following tasks -
• Extract, review, validate, and clean up the planning master data
MOQ Service level Supply lead time - lead time error Stocking policy TRLT Constraint capacity factor Min & Max lot size Constraint shutdowns• Identify and remove duplicate or obsolete entries
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Document the cleanup process for future reference
• Identify areas for improvement for master data associated tasks to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks
• Lead/implement master data related improvement projects initiated by the planning team
REQUIREMENTS (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma qualification preferably in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration or related field.
Knowledge, technical/professional skill:
• Strong planning capability, excellent understanding on material management, supply and demand processes
• Strong Microsoft office skills especially in Excel
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Ability to effectively lead projects and to develop improvement ideas
Language Skill:
• Fluent in Oral and Written English
• Fluent in Oral Chinese added advantage
