To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Supply Chain Intern located in our Manchester, CT site.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the student will support strategic initiatives focused on improving material margin while working closely with Supply Chain Managers, Global Commodity Management, and operations to identify cost reduction opportunities, enhance supplier performance, and contribute to smarter sourcing decisions. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced supply chain environment while driving value for the business.
What a typical day looks like:
Assist with analyzing Bill of Materials (BOM) and component-level cost data to identify high-cost items and margin improvement opportunities.Conduct spend analysis across direct materials and support sourcing events or negotiations with data insights.Assist in supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, and value engineering projects.Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to assess alternative materials, parts, or suppliers.Support initiatives such as supplier consolidation, part standardization, and make-vs-buy analysis.Help implement process improvements in sourcing, procurement, or inventory management that reduce material costs.Work with data from ERP and supply chain systems (e.g., Baan, Tableau,) to develop actionable dashboards and reports.Assist in preparing presentations and business cases for leadership review.Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Familiarity with supply chain principles, sourcing strategy, or cost analysis is a plus.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn.Prior internship or coursework in procurement, logistics, or manufacturing is a bonus.Internship Program Requirements:
