The Supply Chain DRP (Distribution Requirement Planner) role will have responsibility for both tactical and strategic balancing of supply/demand/inventory for the Engineered Materials (EM) business line portfolio. This individual must collaborate effectively across all functional groups and the broader Engineered Materials (EM) Core with a strong drive for results. DRP planner will plan and coordinate product distribution activities with a goal of minimizing shortages and optimizing distribution costs. This role will work closely with Supply planner, Master Production Scheduler, Scheduler, Warehousing , Customer Service and Logistics teams to ensure customer service levels are met while maintaining safety stock targets and desired inventory levels across the distribution network.
Responsibilities: Maintain demand & supply balance for imported finished goods and/or raw materials towards inventory targets at the receiving plant site.Timely execute planned STO (stock transfer order) output in line with Supply Planners’ mid- and long-term supply plan and inventory targets for specific Business line/region. Effective use of integrated systems: maintain STO related SAP Master Data, while utilizing Blue Yonder.Effective communication with relevant interfaces (Logistics Operations, Customer Service, MPS of the sending region). Follow up on escalations with Order Coordinator.Track availability/shipment dates and adjust volume plan in SAP, communicate impact to Customer Service and /or Order Coordinator.Execute assignments requiring strong analytics and data crunching, master data reviews and alignments, supporting process enhancements etc., collaborating with Supply Planners. Deliver accurate and professional root cause explanations for material availability defects.Work on expediate freight approval if/when needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Mgmt., Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.3 Plus years of related experience in a manufacturing operation and or supply chain planning role.1 -2 years of Finite Scheduling experience (E.g.: Combination of raw material, Supply planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, Logistics (finished goods), and execution).Experience with SAP MRP Scheduling preferred.APICS certification preferred.Experience w/ advanced planning / scheduling solutions preferred (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder).Experience in a chemical compounding environment preferred.Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required.Celanese is a global leader in chemistry, producing specialty material solutions used across most major industries and consumer applications.
