In 2019, the facility was designated as Meggitt’s Machining Center of Excellence, with state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. + Parker Aerospace Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, California manufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate the high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates of modern aircraft systems. With our in-house design and development capabilities and with our growing product portfolio we are in a leadership position for the next generation of high-performance aircraft engines and airframes. + Parker Aerospace Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, California facility designs and manufactures valves and controls that regulate the flow of air and fluids under pressure and high temperatures. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, and starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel and bleed-air control valves and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives. Position Summary: The Supplier Quality Engineer 1 provides a range of expertise to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Provides statistical information for quality improvements by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. Participates in assuring a high reliability and proper performance per product requirements. JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES + Ensure the Health and Safety policies and procedure are adhered too + Provides technical and regulatory expertise for a range of quality assurance testing and inspection activities associated with product development and manufacturing, along with Suppliers technical data + Performs supplier audits of the operation process using inspection results and statistical techniques to provide timely, accurate process and product analysis + Issues and performs root cause analysis initiatives for process related concerns associated with Supplier performance. Trains & Mentors suppliers on RCCA activities + Responsible for monthly reporting duties + Analyzes audit results and determines proper corrective and preventive action + Defines and conducts both systematic/methodical and random/arbitrary tests to ensure proper performance of Parker Meggitt products + Reviews and creates inspection forms, supplier flow down requirements, records, techniques and procedures for accuracy and relevance and provide changes when necessary + Ensure alignment of supplier controls with Receiving inspection + Building productive internal/external working relationships + Ability to gain knowledge to review/approve Supplier AS9102 FAIRs + Ability to gain knowledge to review/approve Supplier AS9145 PPAP + Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree is required, preferred in engineering, quality Certifications : + Ability to obtain AS9100 Rev D Lead Auditor Certification + Ability to obtain AS13100 level 1 & 2 Certification Years Experience:1-2 years of relevant experience Skills: + Knowledge of complex Quality Engineering processes and regulatory requirements + Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving + Ability to gain knowledge and ability to apply core concepts of engineering + Ability to interpret internal/external engineering drawings and make recommendations for improvements to products, processes or services + Ability to communicate a range of complex technical information + Demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems + Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion + May require travel up to 75% We offer a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package. Competitive Compensation + Pay Range: $67,418 – Mid: $88,128 - $108,839 + Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
