Supervisor I, Labour

Accountabilities:

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget.Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports.Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projectsSupervises the daily activities of a small to medium-sized, routine business or technical support, and/or production team and is accountable for the results of the Iteam.Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors.Solves problems based on practice and precedent.Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and the local business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager.Trains team members and provide input to employee performance evaluations.Typically, does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised.

Qualifications:

Must have degree in Accounting, CPA is preferredMust have at least 8 years relevant work experienceMinimum of 2-3 years supervisory experienceStrong stakeholder ManagementExcellent Excel skills.  Experience with major enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle/Fusion, SAP or PeopleSoftExperience in large company environment. Shared services and/or BPO background is requiredExperience in business control is a plusGood English communication skills requiredMust be in current role for the last 12 monthsNo disciplinary action for the last 12 monthsNo attendance, behavioral or performance issues for the last 12 months
