About the Role
The Global User Research & Human Factors Engineering team in Convatec are on the journey of pioneering human-centred innovation to improve people's lives with deeply personal and challenging medical conditions. And this is where you come into the picture; We are currently looking for someone who can help us achieve that goal by bringing a prominent level of empathy to identify and communicate our users' changing needs to the rest of the organisation. You will be a crucial addition to our team to meet this challenge.

As our new Student Assistant, you are passionate about supporting the team in bringing the user’s perspective into the development of medical devices and is unafraid to make things happen to ensure we can make a difference in someone’s life.

Under supervision of the team manager, you will have the freedom and responsibility to explore, build, and shape how we do things in a fast-growing User Research & Human Factors Engineering team that delivers. You are passionate about making a difference in people's lives and motivated by learning new things and challenging the status quo. You will support the team in all locations with everyday tasks as well as study setup and data analysis. The team is located in Boston (US), Deeside/London (UK), and Søborg (DK) and consists of a group of Human Factors Engineers and User Experience Researchers with various backgrounds, but all with the same purpose in common: Making a positive difference in our users’ lives.

About you
We are looking for a person passionate about the field of user research and/or human factors engineering who is driven by contributing to making lives better for our users. Someone who is not afraid to try new things, is motivated by solving difficult problems, and who is eager to learn about the field of User Research & Human Factors Engineering within medical device development.

Your key responsibilities

As our new Student Assistant, you will focus on supporting the team in their everyday tasks as well as set up for user studies and support with data analysis. In addition, you will be managing our local ‘Innovation Space’ to ensure it is kept up to date and inspire the local team to be creative.

Qualifications

Minimum Education – Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Anthropology, Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Engineering, Industrial Design, Psychology, or other relevant majors. Currently studying a master’s degree.

Travel and Remote Work expectations

The role is located in our Søborg office. It estimated to be 15-20 hours a week, some which can be done working from home. The hourly rate is 150 DKK/hour. Travelling can be expected depending on studies and team meetings.
