Job Summary

Are you ready to play a key role in research and development at IFF? We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Process R&D team at one of IFF-Scent’s major production centers in Benicarló.
You will be responsible for executing trials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of R&D activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Experimental Execution & Analysis

Prepare and execute laboratory trials.Operate sampling, analysis, and data manipulation equipment (GC, GC-MS, HPLC).Ensure accurate reporting of experimental results.

• Laboratory Operations & Maintenance

Support organization and housekeeping activities in the lab.Manage preventive maintenance for analytical equipment.Monitor and replenish reactive and consumable supplies when needed.Coordinate sample shipments to external facilities.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

Ensure effective communication with pilot and industrial plant operators.Support process optimization initiatives within the technical team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Higher Technician Degree (FP Grado Superior) in Analysis and Control, Chemistry, or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 6 months of laboratory experience in reactor operation and gas chromatography analysis.

• Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS), HPLC.Knowledge of lab equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Soft Skills:Strong teamwork and interpersonal capabilities.Resilient and result-oriented mindset.Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
• Languages: English proficiency preferred.
