We are a part of Amazon Alexa Devices organization with the mission “delight customers through contextual and personalized proactive experiences that keep customers informed, engaged, and productive without cognitive burden”. Our team is responsible to deliver personalization and proactive experiences in AlexaWe are developing an advanced system using Large Language Model (LLM) technologies to deliver engaging, intuitive, and adaptive content recommendations across all Amazon surfaces. We aim to facilitate seamless reasoning and customer experiences, surpassing the capabilities of previous machine learning models.
We are looking for a passionate, talented, and resourceful Sr. Technical Program Manager to ship these solutions as part of Alexa+. You will work across engineering and science teams, partner closely with product, and internal stakeholders.
You will enjoy operating in fast-moving, dynamic environment, be self-motivated to take on challenging problems to deliver big customer impact, shipping solutions via rapid experimentation and then iterating on user feedback and interactions.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects end-to-end. You will collaborate closely with a team of scientists and engineers to influence our overall strategy and define the team's road map. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected
- Collect business and systems requirements from internal and/or external customers
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
- Have high judgment, negotiation skills, and ability to influence
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to generate and communicate meaningful metrics
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Independent, able to take quick decision with limited / no guidance
- Skilled in forecasting, risk management, and change control
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Fast learner on new technologies, especially machine learning approaches and LLMs
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
