Sr. Systems Administrator

KBR is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our customer at the Naval Research Lab (NRL) in Washington, DC.  The work will encompass day to day systems operations duties implementing, monitoring, fixing information systems and providing support for the organization’s local and remote end users. Perform as a member of the IT support team in providing timely and efficient support to assigned operations; coordinate day-to-day operations; applying security patches/fixes; GPO administration and performing MS Exchange administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, software deployment, security updates and patches.Administer the HBSS day-today operationsDeploys servers, laptops, desktops, printers and scannersPrimary interface with the customer for help desk issuesSupports/coordinates on-site installs/upgradesTroubleshoots all hardware/equipment/software and system problemsPerforms system-level preventive maintenanceSuggests new/alternative suggestions for service improvements

Basic Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or another related technical field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.  Equivalent experience maybe considered in lieu of degree.Shall have a minimum of five (05) years of experience with the following:Windows Server 2019 administrationIT help desk support experienceRelevant computer hardware and software applications, Active Directory and Back-up.  HBSS, ACAS, PowerShell scripting, MSSQL Server and\or IIS would be a plus but required.Shall have working knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems and MS Office SuiteExperience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)Security+ certification

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Candidate MUST already possess a Top-Secret clearance.

Compensation:

$116, 725 - $175, 030. The salary range posted is for Washington, DC. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
