Sr. Specialist, OFC Capital Strategic Sourcing
Scope of Position:
This position will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement activities of capital equipment, parts, services, and construction for the OFC Business.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Responsible for tactical and technical procurement execution for assigned capital material, equipment, and services. Duties include supplier management, communication to supplier, vendor negotiations, submission of purchase requisitions, obtaining approvals, monitoring of deliveries, expediting materials, and resolving billing discrepancies. Leads and executes RFI's, RFP's, and RFQ's as needed. Evaluates competitive offerings via price/cost analysis to determine the overall best offering for a product or service. Negotiates pricing, contracts, and terms as needed. Identifies and executes cost avoidance opportunities. Resolves contract, quality, payment or other supply/service issues with suppliers and end users when required. Submit requests for new vendor adds/changes/updates in the system. Protect Intellectual Property (IP). Ensure compliance to the Global Buying Policy. Create and maintain contractual documents (Supply Agreements, Pricing Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Certificates of Insurance, etc.). Support GSM initiatives as needed.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field or Supply Chain and min of 1 year Supply Chain or Procurement experience. Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail. Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, throughout all internal levels of the organization and externally. High degree of initiative and motivation with ability to work in a matrix environment or within a cross functional team. Proven organizational and time management skills. Computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc).Desired Skills:
Education, training or certification (CPSM,CPIM, etc.) in a supply chain function Knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems. Negotiation, purchasing, or commodity experience. Project management experience.Soft Skills:
