**Job Summary** We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS SQL Node.js AngularJS Java JavaScript and MySQL. Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus. This hybrid role requires working during the day shift with no travel required. **Responsibilities** + Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Node.js AngularJS Java JavaScript and MySQL. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and implement new features and enhancements. + Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications. + Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance. + Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. + Work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements. + Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies. + Implement best practices for security and data protection. + Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability. + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the companys technological edge. + Document software designs code and processes for future reference. + Collaborate with the QA team to ensure thorough testing and validation of software solutions. **Qualifications** + Possess a strong understanding of AWS SQL Node.js AngularJS Java JavaScript and MySQL. + Have experience in developing and maintaining complex software systems. + Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Show proficiency in writing clean maintainable and efficient code. + Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills. + Have a good understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance domain (nice to have). + Be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model. + Show commitment to continuous learning and professional development. + Have a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. **Certifications Required** AWS Certified Solutions Architect Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer Cognizant is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity, champions equity and values inclusion.
