This role’s responsibilities may include the following:
Sales order processing including the invoicing and collections for Company contracts with Company customers.
Assist in month-end close for revenue and other accounting activity including performing complex calculation, preparing schedules, and proposing and generating journal entries.
Prepare financial statement disclosure schedules
Performing reconciliations and related fluctuation analysis and other reporting requirements. Provide clear explanations for account fluctuations and investigate the reasons for fluctuations.
Participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over transactions and reporting.
Help prepare data and other support information requests as needed for audits and reviews conducted by external auditors.
Work with cross-functional teams in various departments to operationalize new product offerings and changes to existing product offerings.
Perform ad-hoc analysis such as investigating customer billings, contracts, pricing, and reconciliation differences.
Communicate cross functionally with the Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to investigate and resolve issues with reporting or billings.
Evaluate how to change and build out new processes when upstream processes and data change.
Review work performed by the revenue accountant.
This role will be required to have met the following technical requirements:
Possesses fundamental knowledge of key accounting concepts, such as the accounting equation, debits and credits, and basic financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows).
Have a basic understanding of the 5 steps of revenue recognition in the US GAAP ASC 606.
Advanced Excel Certification. Strong excel skills with knowledge on advanced formulas, such as lookup, index match, and pivot table and comfortable with large data sets. Ability to prepare presentations in Google Slides and charts in Google Sheets.
Posses basic knowledge of US SOX requirements including how to follow control descriptions and document them.
Having a Certified Public Accountant license is preferred but not required.
This role will be required to have met the following experience requirements:
General accounting experience and/or financial statement audit experience.
3-4 years’ experience (Level 1), 5 years and over (Level 2)
All is expected to have a college degree or equivalent work experience
