JOB SUMMARY + Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience. + Experience with power circuits validation requirements + Experience creating validation plans. + Experience in electronic system bring up and debugging process, power circuit components electric specifications, selection. + Preferred qualification: + Master’s degree in Power Electronics. + Knowledge of switching mode power supplies and variant topology: + buck converter + boost converter + PFC converter + Flyback converter + full bridge/ half bridge converter + LLC converter…etc + 3~10 years of work experience in server power supply design or power system design of consumer/home electronics. + PSU validation on Server/storage integration test + Familiar w/ intel CRPS PSU specification + Familiar w/ server architecture and physical assembling + Familiar w/ Linux instruction (Ubuntu, ONTAP…) for system stress operation + Job description & Responsibilities: + Work with the major AC/DC PSU supply vendors, like Delta, Lite-on, Artesyn, etc to find a standard off-the-shelf PSU or to customize a PSU according to the product requirement from a project kick-off to mass production. + Be capable to propose different PSU options to System Architect or customer from different perspectives, + performance, + product maturity level, + cost, + delivery schedule, + supplier technical services, + second source availability, etc. + Qualify the PSU in PSU FRU level and system level. Debugging with internal technical team and working with PSU vendor to resolve all the issues. + If customized PSU, need to work out a detailed AC/DC PSU requirement spec. + Do Proof of Concept & RFQ with 2~3 PSU vendors. + Select main PSU supplier considering both technical and commercial by co-working with PSU commodity manager. + Work together with PM to drive the PSU development progress. + Review the technical proposal, schematic, layout, test plans, test reports from the PSU vendor. Work out the PSU requirement based on the system requirement, + power range, + input voltage, + output voltage, + efficiency requirement, + redundancy, + form factor, + telemetry, + communication protocol, etc. + Work with customer power core team for all the PSU related technical discussions. + Need to support on DC/DC design for the motherboard, power distribution board, midplane, baseboard depending on the workload.
