Job Duties:  

Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures Lead product development activities by operating residential HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting and reviewing experimental test data Lead installation, modification, and builds of developmental residential HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements Work with Test Engineering and other Technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices Troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment

 

Must Have: 

3+ years work experience in related field Experience in laboratory setting and all the use associated equipment necessary to evaluate an HVAC system's performance/reliability is preferred Experience related to refrigeration related thermodynamic principles, and mechanical troubleshooting issues Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

Completion of an HVAC training program at an accredited school EPA Type Universal Certification  Demonstrates basic knowledge of measuring/inspection instruments and or mechanical and electrical components and their principles, properties, and theories Proficient understanding of schematics, reading, and interpreting engineering drawings, technical reports, safety rules, operation, and maintenance instructions Ability to understand and follow work instructions/applicable test standards Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to listen and speak effectively before groups of employees in the organization Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced team environment
