Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

CDD offers diagnostic solutions for IVD market segments, with products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

Join the Middletown, VA team supporting top IVD suppliers with OEM and contract manufacturing.

A Day in the Life:

Prepare and inspect equipment for use in chemical and bio-formulations. Set up pumps, filters, tubing connections and mixers.Follow SOPs to calculate the amount of chemical needed to formulate. Weigh and mix chemicals with diluents under controlled conditions.Document steps accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.Continuously monitor product for defects.Help improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement.Clean and maintain equipment and work space.Assist in the training and development of peers.Provide mentorship and direction to peers.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related fieldPreferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language.Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching
