We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer with 8 years of expertise in database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance database solutions that ensure reliability and security. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize database schemas for efficient data storage and retrieval. Administer and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. Leverage Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions from Azure or AWS for scalable database management. Implement and oversee database backup and recovery strategies. Develop and optimize stored procedures to enhance application performance. Ensure database security by enforcing access controls and encryption protocols. Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. Perform database administration tasks, including configuration, patching, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with development and operations teams to fulfill database requirements. Manage application-dependent data across multiple environments. Automate and publish scheduled monthly application reports. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience 8 years of hands-on experience in database design, development, and administration. Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL. Experience with AWS S3 and Python for data management and automation. Familiarity with Oracle database systems. Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. Experience with Databricks or Data Lakehouse environments is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in virtual teams to deliver high-quality database solutions. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
