Job Description

Weekend PM: Fri-Sun 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM 

As a Sr Process Technician, you will play a crucial role in our maintenance team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to work within a world-class environment, ensuring flawless operations and supplying to our ambitious goals. Your responsibilities will include:

Intervening in production issues related to mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenancePerforming tooling changes, machine setups, and making in-process adjustmentsRebuilding, calibrating, and configuring sealing components and controlsDocumenting clear and detailed information regarding machine downtime, repairs, and critical process controlsParticipating in equipment installationTesting equipment to ensure efficiency and performance needs are metMaintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipmentFollowing all safety and cGMP requirements

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Education: Associates degree in related field.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field

Preferred:

Calibrating and Configurations of Toss Controllers and components Use CMMS for record keeping of PM's, Repairs and Installations. Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment based on industrial process controls and pneumatics, including PLC Programmable Logic Controllers, reed switches, valves, relays, temperature controllers, and solenoidsStand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, graspingUse hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, and pullingInfrequently lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds max unassisted

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced controlled cleanroom environment 8 to 12 hours a day, depending on shift, with additional overtime as required for production schedule consistencyThe Clean room is controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise.Specific gowning is required including gloves, hair & beard net and face cover, safety glasses with no makeup / jewelry, and the like.Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene
