The Role: As a key part of the camera team, you will be driving the electrical design of the camera module and the necessary supporting hardwares. You will be the owner of all aspects of EE hardware design, including circuit/board design and validation. You will work closely with an internal interdisciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. Develop core intellectual properties as well as defining EE imaging platform and roadmap. Key job responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for the schematics and layout design of the camera module and supporting hardwares. The candidate will lead DFM processes with the contract manufactures and drive any technical related issues which includes Low and High Level Failure Analysis. The candidate needs to be a strong and effective communicator and needs to be an independent and highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills. Basic Qualifications - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - Experience collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent - Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout - Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Experience with the project management of technical projects - Hardware lab equipment such as digital scope, logic analyzer, and soldering skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market.
