Job Responsibilities:
Establishes and promotes the maintenance of a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment by performing the following duties personally or through teams. Serves as primary technical leader, possessing a diversified knowledge of environmental, occupational health and safety requirements. Represents the Division by serving as primary liaison with governmental regulators on environmental, occupational health and safety issues. Organizes, directs, implements, and maintains Division’s environmental, occupational health and safety strategies and objectives. Plans and directs projects and develops long-term strategies / plans to meet future needs. Develops, reviews, and maintains budgets and expenses for materials, equipment, travel, etc., ensuring conformity to plan. Develops and implements Division’s environmental, occupational health and safety programs to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and Division’s commitment to workplace safety, health and environmental responsibility. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial environmental health management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental or related field including three to five years
diverse professional experience; or equivalent. High degree of technical knowledge and expertise in occupational health, safety, ergonomic and environmental areas with understanding of governmental / legal requirements for respective areas. Demonstrated strong communication skills to work with internal and external contacts at all levels within the organization, represent the division in a professional manner, and to sell concepts and strategies to internal management. Demonstrated project management leadership and strategic decision-making skills and proven financial capabilities including budgetary responsibility. Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
