Key Responsibilities:

PL/SQL Development: Write, debug, and optimize complex PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.SQL Programming: Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and application integration.Database Design: Assist in the design and implementation of scalable database solutions, including schema design, indexing, and partitioning.Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data requirements and ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by analyzing query execution plans, indexing strategies, and rewriting inefficient SQL statements.Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and database security policies.System Integration: Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to integrate database solutions with business applications.Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve database-related issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.Documentation: Prepare technical documentation for database designs, processes, and code.Data Security: Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls and encryption.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development and Oracle databases.SQL Expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL for writing queries, creating views, and managing database transactions.Oracle Database: In-depth experience with Oracle versions (e.g., Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c) and associated tools like Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, etc.Database Optimization: Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting database performance issues.Data Modeling: Knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling tools.Version Control: Familiarity with version control tools like Git for managing database scripts.ETL Knowledge: Experience with ETL processes and tools is a plus.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex database problems effectively.Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience with Oracle APEX or other Oracle application development frameworks.Knowledge of NoSQL databases or cloud-based database services like Oracle Autonomous Database.Exposure to data warehousing concepts and tools.Familiarity with Java, Python, or other programming languages for application integration.
