Team Overview and Job responsibilities 

We are looking for a Material Development Specialist - R&D to join our team.

Based in Cariacica, Brazil, reporting to Product Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for support our team daily in technical & administrative activities in accordance with established policies, guidelines, strategies and legislation. You will focus mainly on the following activities:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Issuance of technical documents (ex: reports, test procedure, EMP, technical notes, among others);Technical specification and international standards reading and analysis;Issuance of technical presentations and supporting on training;Support on failure mode analysis and non conformity related to the product;Research of new polymeric and metal materials to be applied on Surf products;Support technically the company on raw materials definition in case of doubts and deviations;Perform technical availability of new product selection and definition;Test method and methodology definition for new tests;Definition of the scope of tests, for new materials;Test data treatment and analytical analysis of the results;Research of new supplier for materials (DTC or new materials);Papers issuance to participate on Oil and Gas forums;Support daily activities on the lab;Issuance of activities schedules to maintain the plan on map;Perform internal and external meetings to discuss technical topics with clients and colleagues;Support on 6s and safety of the lab;Laboratories test machines knowledge - to support the execution of the tests;

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a professional with the following skills and motivations: 

Mechanical, Material or Metallurgic Engineers;Has interest in Technical and Administrative works;Passioned for continuous improvement;Good knowledge in Office pack (mainly Excel, Word and PowerPoint);Advanced English;Good communication skills;Have initiative to improve and mitigate risks;Excellent interpersonal relationship;Teamwork attitude;Hands-on attitude;Analytical and problem solver profile;Good knowledge and experience of standards and technical specifications of umbilicals (ISO 13628-5, API 17E, etc) will be considered a differential;Al least 2 years of experience on oil and gas industry;Previous experience in Materials development areas will be considered a differential;Knowledge of metallic alloys and polymers applied on the oil and gas will be considered a differential;Master Degree or PhD on Mechanical Engineering will be considered a differential.

Papéis e Responsabilidades:

Emissão de documentos técnicos (ex: relatórios, procedimentos de ensaio, EMP, notas técnicas entre outros);Leitura e análise de especificações e documentações técnicas;Emissão de apresentações técnicas e suporte no treinamento de pessoas;Suporte na análise de faha e não conformidades relacionadas ao produto;Pesquisa de novos materiais poliméricos e metálicos para ser aplicado em produtos Surf;Suporte tecnicamente a empresa na definição de matéria prima a ser aplicada em produtos Surf;Realizar avaliações técnicas para definição e seleção de novos produtos;Definição de metodologia e procedimento de testes, para novos testes;Definição de escopo de testes, para novos materiais;Tratamento de dados e análise crítica de resultados de testes;Pesquisa de novos fornecedores de materiais (DTC ou novos materiais);Emissão de papers para participação em fóruns na área do óleo e gás e correlacionados;Apoiar as atividades diárias do laboratório;Emissão de cronogramas de atividades para manter as atividades conforme planejado;Realizar reuniões internas e externas para discutir tópicos técnicos com clientes ou outras áreas da empresa;Suporte em 6s e segurança do laboratório;

Engenharia Mecânica, materiais ou metalúrgica;Interesse em atividades técnicas e administrativas;Apaixonado por melhoria contínua;Conhecimento avançado do pacote Office;Inglês avançado;Boa habilidade de comunicação e relações interpessoais;Ter iniciativa para melhorar processos e mitigar riscos;Gosta de trabalhar em equipe;Perfil analitico e solucionador de problemas;Pelo menos 2 anos de experiência no setor de Óleo e Gás;Bom conhecimento e experiência em normas e especificações técnicas de umbilicais (ISO 13628-5, API 17E, etc) será considerado um diferencial;Experiência na área de desenvolvimento de materiais será considerado um diferencial;Conhecimento de ligas metálicas e polimeros para aplicação no setor de óleo e gás será considerado um diferencial;Mestrado ou doutorado em engenharia mecânica será considerado um diferencial.
