Essential Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
Manage the daily operations of the wind farm, including planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections.
Monitor turbine performance metrics and work to maximize uptime and energy production.
Coordinate with the remote operations center and ensure timely response to alarms and turbine faults.
Team & Personnel Management:
Supervise, schedule, and support a team of wind technicians and support personnel.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for site personnel.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to company and regulatory HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards.
Lead safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations.
Ensure that all personnel and subcontractors comply with site safety rules and protocols.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the primary point of contact for landowners, local authorities, vendors, and customers.
Coordinate with engineering, asset management, and project teams for upgrades, retrofits, or special projects.
Administrative & Financial Management:
Manage site budgets, procurement, and inventory of parts and tools.
Prepare regular performance and incident reports for senior management.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and safety records.
Qualifications, Requirements & Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services).
Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Customer Service Management.
A background in management of Mechanical or Electrical projects.
Experience in overall wind farm operations and maintenance is preferred
Business management and commercial acumen for profit and loss control, business and financial reporting
