Senior UX Designer, Amazon Delivery Customer Experiences
Description Have you or someone you known urgently needed something, wanting to get through the process of shopping and getting it delivered as fast as possible? Amazon Delivery’s Customer Experiences team (ADX CX) is seeking our next Senior UX Designer to help shepherd in a new era of what it means to shop quickly for our customers. In this role, you'll collaborate directly with senior leaders and diverse teams across multiple partner organizations, turning ambitious ideas into novel experiences through rapid ideation and innovative thinking. Your work in gathering and translating emergent customer insights into experiments and solutions will be key in challenging existing paradigms and shaping new customer expectations. As a part of our team, you'll also be connected wtih amazing designers and researchers across a design organization working through different lenses to elevate our customer experience overall. Key job responsibilities As a key driver in designing solutions and up-leveling the quality of our customer experiences, you will: • Bring forward innovative ideas and solutions and raise the bar on customer's experience with delivery • Effectively advocate and design for the customer through objective data such as market analysis, customer insights, technical constraints / opportunities, and business insights • Partner closely with business and development teams to plan and balance immediate changes with long-term, scalable solutions • Quickly and thoroughly creating user flows, wire frames, visual designs, and prototypes to effectively concept and communicate detailed interaction behaviors that support decision making and development • Assess and optimize the effectiveness of new and existing features by proactively planning, performing, and advocating validation techniques like usability testing, user research, and interpreting analytic data. • Present design work to UX partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders About the team The Amazon Delivery’s Customer Experience team (ADX CX) team is a diverse group of designers and researchers that share our experiences and help each other succeed. Basic Qualifications - 8+ years of design experience - Have an available online portfolio - Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps - Experience with hands-on visual design - Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar - Experience with best practices for Product and Experience Design (including User Interfaces, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design) Preferred Qualifications - Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes - Experience with UX design of complex workflows - Experience designing customer facing retail products Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
