KBR is seeking a Senior Test Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA. Ideal candidate will live in the local area and work in the office daily. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required. The Senior Test Instrumentation Engineer will support the 49TES’s Airborne Test Instrumentation Data System (ATIDS) foundational flight test instrumentation package, the Digital Separation Camera System (DSCS), and Telemetry Van instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
B-52 test instrumentation maintenance, design, architecture upgrades, equipment ordering, system calibration, pre-flight/post-flight inspection and operational checks, installation and removal.Collaborate with other test squadron’s test instrumentation personnel to upgrade the ATIDS system for greater capability, ease of use, maintainability, data transmission and synergy across the B-52 test enterprise.Collaborate with other test squadron’s test instrumentation personnel to design custom architecture for 49TES Telemetry Van to ensure real-time data integrity, data transmission, and safety communication.Candidate will train, mentor, direct work for three instrumentation technicians.Work Environment:

Required:
BS in Electrical Engineering or related fieldEngineering degree required, preferably electrical engineer or related.10+ years’ experience in aviation, DoD, and/or test instrumentation engineering experience.Experience working on B-52 is desired5 years of supervisory experience.Ability to acquire a Secret clearance, which requires U.S. citizenshipDesired:
