The Senior Systems Specialist-Product Engineering LCM is responsible for
Apply multiple engineering disciplines to plan, organize, and conduct technical projects within the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of new or enhanced hardware products or systems. Projects may involve exploring products and/or process problems, defining
and selecting new concepts and approaches, originating or modifying design and drawings, components, EBOM, process specifications and requirements. Jobs that provide engineering technical support and coordinating project execution as per the goals set.
This position reports to the Manager Upstream HW Engineering and is part of the Cytiva Bioprocessing Upstream and Fluid management Engineering team located in Hyclone life sciences solutions PVT. What you will do:
Formulate technical design concepts and establish the system architecture for the product, ensuring the technical feasibility of solutions for life cycle management projects within Cytiva's Bioprocessing Upstream systems.Design innovative solutions that satisfy all functional, performance, regulatory, reliability, and serviceability requirements for Bioprocessing Upstream systems.Efficiently manage the project life cycle, including design, build, testing (unit, integration, acceptance), deployment, transfer to manufacturing, and post-launch product support/change management, while adhering to internal project management methodologies and processes.Provide technical leadership and oversee engineering deliverables for both you and the team to meet On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality targets.Focus on life cycle management projects, primarily handling change management through Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Technically review the team's work and collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams to implement ECRs and ECOsHands on working on the Prototyping, testing and verification of these systems.Who you are:
Possess a BE in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, along with a minimum of 9-12 years of industrial experience in Engineering design for product life cycle management (LCM) projects, including design changes, design space expansion, manufacturing transfer, sustaining, service, and discontinuationExperienced in handling Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Possess Comprehensive knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or equivalent systems. Proficient in design verification and testing of hardware/systems, defect handling, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems.Familiarity with project management practices such as engineering planning, overall project scheduling, work breakdown structure (WBS), prioritization, allocation, and progress tracking are essential. Proficiency in project management tools like JIRA, Smartsheet, Excel trackers, etc., is also essential.Technical expertise in specifying, selecting, and designing components such as pneumatics, various types of pumps, I/O control panels, and sensors, with proven experience in integrating these devices into the system.Experience in creating and modifying Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOM), generating engineering drawings, and CAD modeling.Possesses strong analytical skills to identify critical technical issues, with expertise in technical problem-solving. Proficient in root cause analysis and technical problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEAs. Capable of driving and implementing design solutions, mitigating and retiring design risks.Possess an in-depth understanding of various manufacturing processes and experience collaborating with vendors on NPI and VE projects.Excellent presentation and communication skills: Clearly articulate viewpoints verbally and in writing, instilling confidence when sharing or presenting information. Capable of effectively communicating technical details.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
