About our Team:

We’re seeking an innovative and driven Product Owner to join our Data Systems team, with an initial focus on flight data. This team is responsible for developing and managing our suite of industry-leading datasets, which are at the core of our business and essential to our success. Central to advancing our machine-readable products, your role will be to ensure that the data that powers these products not only meets but exceeds customer expectations.

 

About the Role:

You will be part of the Product Owner team within Cirium, but on a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with Agile development teams. Your key responsibilities will include owning and prioritizing the product backlog, gathering and managing requirements from various stakeholders, and ensuring that dependencies are properly handled.

 

You will build strong relationships across Cirium and serve as the central point of contact between the development team, various departments, and external stakeholders. Your goal will be to deliver dynamic, flexible, and innovative products that anticipate and respond to the fast-paced and evolving needs of the aviation analytics industry. With development teams located across different geographic regions, your outstanding written and verbal communication skills will be crucial. You will translate complex stakeholder requirements into user stories and epics, ensuring clear and effective collaboration within the team and with downstream stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

Maintaining agile team’s primary objective / specific business goal of each release.Collaborating with Product Management, UX Design, Tech, Security, and QA teams on sprint planningRunning standard agile ceremonies, weekly backlog review, sprint reviews / platform features daily stand ups, sign off on test case reviews, and sprint retrospectiveReleasing capacity planning – Understand engineering resources available for the next sprintCollaborating with product/data managers on ticket readiness prior to backlog reviews.Ensuring a clear Definition of Done for every ticketBalancing continuous improvement with remediation of technical debt

 

Requirements:

Proven track record as a Product Owner or similar role in product management, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. Experience in the aviation analytics industry is a plus.Proficiency in using issue tracking tools (JIRA)Familiarity with data analytics and machine-readable products is highly desirable.Proven experience of working on complex data transformation projects utilising APIsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex stakeholder requirements into clear and actionable user stories and epics.Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, marketing, and customer service departments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address the evolving needs of the aviation analytics industry.Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to ensure that products not only meet but exceed customer expectations.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications in product management/owner or related areas are a plus.Learn more about the LexisNexis Risk team and how we work here
