**JOB SUMMARY**
The Senior Paralegal provides support for Global Operations and Corporate-Level Disciplines and Functions (including some of Marriott’s core lodging operations services such as Food & Beverage (F&B), Rooms, Spa, Retail, Engineering, Global Safety & Security and Risk Management, and Purchasing/Procurement). Additionally, the role supports Residential Operations (both whole ownership Residences and fractional ownership such as Ritz-Carlton Clubs) and certain special subject matter areas, including casino licensing, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and the relationship with Bulgari. The Senior Paralegal manages the day-to-day operations for the existing system of managed hotels and residences in the U.S. and Canada, and (5) other special roles and projects relating to the team’s work.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
_Required_
+ Four-year college degree and work experience of six years, OR Two-year college degree and minimum relevant work experience of ten years, OR at least twenty years of relevant work experience as a paralegal.
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
+ Familiarity with database functionality and operation.
+ Ability to routinely work from the HQ office in Bethesda, currently 3-4 days/week
+ Availability for minimal travel and flexibility for overtime.
_Preferred_
+ Strong project management skills, and ability to meet simultaneous deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
+ Answer questions on policies, draft agreements, and work with paralegals and attorneys to identify solutions in response to inquiries, from Global Operation Services Clients and attorneys in various disciplines, including procurement, retail, spa, engineering, food and beverage, risk management, social responsibility, sustainability, and ADA.
+ Support Lodging Operations & Field Support practice group’s special projects and initiatives as requested.
+ Work with outside counsel on hotel-specific legal matters to ensure the timely delivery of cost-effective legal services in keeping with group objectives.
+ Draft and submit responses for review to legal correspondence and memoranda.
+ Draft vendor agreements related to critical casino functions.
+ Attend Casino Oversight Committee and Casino Board meetings and prepare minutes.
+ Support the arrangement of due diligence with respect prospective hotel and casino owners and operators, as needed.
+ Provide paralegal support in response to inquiries and requests from Ritz-Carlton Brand, Bulgari Brand; and support attorneys with Bulgari JV issues.
+ Respond to operational and governance issue inquiries from the Residences corporate and property leadership teams. Support matters regarding the Ritz-Carlton Clubs (MVW), including the quarterly financial certification letter; and provide general legal support on agreements, operational and governance issues in response to inquiries directly from the Residences and RC Clubs.
The hourly pay range for this position is $39.03 to $67.98.
