Job Responsibilities: Lead early product development as it relates to manufacturing and assembly needs, ensuring an optimal balance between product functional criteria and manufacturability, in accordance with manufacturing best practices.Lead the development of manufacturing processes and equipment with new product development, ensuring that product performance specifications, cost targets, and timelines are achieved.Support and contribute to serial manufacturing planning and customer program launches, integrating lessons learned from build/launch events and best practices.Provide technical support to identify, develop, and resolve critical process issues with cross-functional teams.Propose continuous improvement opportunities to enhance team skills, qualifications, tools, and processes in areas such as materials, methodologies, and processes, contributing to the advanced manufacturing knowledge base.Lead a team of engineering technicians, ensuring their training aligns with the required skills.Build strong relationships with customers from a product development standpoint and with the Magna manufacturing facility out of state for product integration.The role is based in Michigan, but will work remotely from Senior Management located in ArizonaResponsible to manage day-to-day activities for hourly and salary personnelBe familiar with working and leading teams at a customers’ site (Preferred)

Qualifications:Must have a positive “can do” attitude Bachelor in Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 10+ years in complete vehicle and system level advanced manufacturing or serial manufacturing Experience supervising or managing technical personnelExcellent communication skillsExperience in serial production launching of a complete vehicle preferred Experience in End of Line testing for components and assembliesExperience in EV system assembly and handling
