The challenge

You’ll manage the media and digital communication strategy and, strategic partnerships for Tabaqueira within External Affairs Department to support the market objectives, ensuring alignment with the head of function, with the OC and with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll oversee development & deployment of corporate communication plans aimed at enhancing the company positioning in the external environment and achieving a balanced regulatory framework in line with the Company's objectives.

Your ‘day to day’

·       Strategy: provide inputs for formulating the communication plan. Analyze the Portuguese media, political as well as socio political situation and draw conclusions and recommendations for the overall External Affairs-goals and -plans in order to enhance the company's public image and brand.

·       Manage all external communications, including press releases, social media, , and corporate reports.

·       Internal and external collaboration: Collaborate with senior management team to ensure communication strategies align with business objectives.

·       Manage the activity of focal point within the EA team, aligning with the colleagues, for key cross-functional communication projects with Tabaqueira's departments, factory and global hubs (in Portugal).

·       Support the External Affairs team, fostering a high- performance culture

·       Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and work with  external consultants and agencies. As well, manage the strategic partnerships.

·       Content: Manage external communications, including press releases, talking points, social media, newsletters, and corporate reports.

·       Supports the protection and enhancement of the corporate reputation and identity, and of the company's brands positioning, by ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all communication platforms.

·       Supports in defining key messages and narratives in connection with corporate positions on company goals, THR and SFP.

·       Trainings: Manage issues trainings and media trainings for any employees who may give public statements, as well as defining key messages aligned with company positions on the business and its products.

·       Crisis Management: Prepare materials, monitoring and managing crisis communications

Who we’re looking for

·       Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Political Science, Law.

·       Minimum of 10 years of experience of relevant work experience in External Affairs or other in FCMG companies, BIG4 companies and NGOs. Work experience in highly regulated industries is a plus.

·       Fluency in Portuguese and English.

·       Experience in a communications agency.

·       Network in the public sector.

·       Enthusiastic and fast-paced worker.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines, with problem-solving skills.

·       Media industry network.

·       Experience in speech writing and social media management.

·       EU Work Permit
