Join the world’s leading molecular diagnostic company as the Senior Manager, Culture and Human Resources Communications, where you will play an essential role in shaping our organizational voice and growing the culture that makes our success possible. In this position, you will develop and execute strategic communication plans that enforce our cultural commitments and enrich the social fabric of our 6,000 global associates, while ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
The Senior Manager, Culture and Human Resources Communications is responsible for conceptualizing, leading, communicating, and measuring the impact of programs designed to enrich Cepheid’s culture and associate value proposition. This team member will evolve and amplify our culture, Inclusion & Belonging efforts, and people-focused initiatives across the organization.
This position is part of the Human Resources and Internal Communications team, and will be located onsite in Sunnyvale, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions, and the Internal Communications team at Cepheid is uniquely positioned to tell engaging and inspiring stories designed to heighten associates’ personal connection to our patient-centric mission.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and Evolve the Associate Value Proposition (AVP). You will develop, refine, and communicate our Associate Value Proposition, ensuring it aligns with business strategy, resonates with employees, and differentiates Cepheid as an employer of choice. This spans internal and external audiences, with a compelling story as the #1 molecular diagnostic company in the world impacting millions of patients worldwide.
Drive Inclusion, Belonging, and Culture Initiatives by shaping and executing communications and engagement strategies for Inclusion & Belonging programs, Associate Resource Groups (ARGs), and cultural milestones, to foster an inclusive workplace. This work is highly cross-functional, and you will collaborate with experts across Cepheid and our Danaher family of businesses.
Strengthen People Manager Communications and Capability-Building. At Cepheid, we are passionate about supporting employee development and we believe this starts with People Managers. You will work with our Culture Architect and Change Catalyst to develop and implement communication strategies that equip people managers with the knowledge and tools to lead effectively, support employee development, and enhance leadership capabilities.
Champion Culture Commitments and Change Communications by embedding our newly found Culture Commitments through communication campaigns and programs that align with the company’s values while also managing communications for organizational changes and personnel updates.
Deliver communications counsel to the HR Leadership team, spanning Operations, R&D, Commercial and Strategy. This includes crafting monthly HR Global Town Hall agendas, communicating Total Rewards programs, creating strategic messaging for leadership on key culture and workforce initiatives, and partnering to communicate quarterly employee engagement survey results.
The essential requirements of the job include:
10+ years of experience in corporate communications, HR communications, or employee engagement, with a strong focus on culture, inclusion, and employer brand/value proposition.
Strong writing, storytelling, and messaging skills, with the ability to translate complex HR topics into clear, compelling narratives.
Experience partnering with senior HR leaders and stakeholders to shape and deliver strategic communications.
High level of strategic thinking, adaptability, and influence, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage or contribute to content management systems (Sharepoint, Viva Engage, etc.)
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel per business needs
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Organizational change management
Operating in global healthcare or pharma organizations
Launching and sustaining AVP and employer brand

The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
