The Assistant Category Procurement Manager – HC Europe is responsible to lead the cost savings agenda for the BU. To lead cross-functional project teams to deliver the savings targets, identify new savings projects together with business partners and further digitalize the savings reporting into the BU.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES BE:
Drive and deliver the cost savings program for the Home Care EU BU. Support and further enhance the financial reporting of the cost savings program. Lead cross functional project teams for the delivery of 5S projects. Create the network for project delivery and hold people accountable against it. Act as the Procurement partner to drive the delivery of our 5S targets. Identify new savings projects together with business partners and ensure timely introduction, including program synergies (ideation / benchmarking) across BUs Deliver ASA/ AMA (alternative supplier/alternative material) projects for 5S reasons. Assist the senior leadership on strategic programs, developing tools, presentations and improve ways of working.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE:
Monitor overall performance of the savings program.
Project management for delivery of the 5S program.
Network creation for projects.
Be outstanding in idea generation; come with ideas that are forward thinking and that contribute to creating sustained competitive advantage.
Guide the team on the day-to-day prioritization.
Brief Portfolio Procurement on upcoming savings projects and initiate contracting requests to the buyers.
Develop a deep knowledge on the E2E process to support unlocking barriers.
Ensure supplier selection is in line with our Procurement Strategies and is done with sufficient capacity for growth.
Contribute to the Team goals, by leading shared areas on behalf of the team.
This role requires a drive for continuous improvement, through applied market knowledge, internal stakeholder’s management as well as SC E2E understanding.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
Experience in Project Management of which at least 1 year of experience in FMCG
University/Bachelor degree or relevant experience
Basic understanding of Finance and the P&L
Excellent command of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
Skills:
Strong analytical capabilities (incl. finance)
Personal Mastery (priority setting, risk analysis, resources)
Proven experience on cross functional project management
Strong communications skills, with the ability to virtually engage with cross-functional teams
Strong ability in managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and deadlines
Development of project networks
Appetite for change and eagerness to collaborate with stakeholders to drive change & improvements in uncharted territory.
Fluent communication and verbal/writing skills in English
Excellent Excel / PowerPoint Skills
Strong presentation Skills
Able to work in fast paced environment and manage timelines
Digital knowledge of tools like PowerBI, CoPilot etc.
Financial acumen for business understanding and reporting
