Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Specialist to support our Meat Culture business. You will provide technical services and solutions to our customers globally, focusing on well-known starter cultures and a wide range of meat products, primarily fermented sausages. The application team supports the sales of new and existing ingredients in the food industry.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Specialist to support our Meat Culture business.

Reporting to the Global Cultures application leader, you will provide technical services and solutions to our customers in Europe and other parts of the world. You will work with well-known starter cultures and a wide range of products for meat, primarily for fermented sausages.

The application team supports the sales of new and existing ingredients in the food industry.

You will be located in Denmark at the IFF Campus Brabrand with over 300 people dedicated to Application, R&D and technical customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform the application of cultures in a wide range of meat products.Connect and engage customers to promote our portfolio and follow up on trials and product development.Independently operate, maintain, and propose improvements to the pilot plant. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all hygienic standards as well as Departmental Instructions.Initiate, organize, conduct, and evaluate pilot plant trials and perform laboratory work to produce reliable data concerning the performance of IFF products.Manage ingredients inventory, ordering supplies, product shipping & receiving, and managing external product testing. You will take part in the preparation of raw materials, ingredients and accessories like casings, packaging materials etc. to ensure correct productionDisciplined project management to deliver high-quality, on-time results to external and internal customers.Develop and/or deliver customer workshops and presentations to raise customer awareness of IFF capabilities and ingredients.Problem solving for both internal and external customers.You are proficient in Windows-based programs, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role:

Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in Food/Meat technology or relevant qualification, such as an experienced butcher.6-8 years of application/hands-on experience from the meat industry.Food industry experience in an R&D or production environment, with knowledge of product formulation, as well as process troubleshooting, will be well regarded.Demonstrated capability in experimental design, detailed results analysis, and sound technical judgement.Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations professionally and effectively.Proven ability to work and manage time and priorities unsupervised.Commercial acumen and proven ability to balance technical needs with commercial needs.Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Willingness to travel mainly in Europe for 20% of the time.

Result-oriented with a high level of personal drive.Ability to work independently while being a dedicated team player.Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Any other language will be a plus.
