Ingredion is seeking a Senior Analyst Accountant for our GDL Location supporting primarily the Latam in addition to others as assigned.  The Senior Analyst will lead assigned accounting tasks and project initiatives to drive business impact while fostering an environment of accelerating learning and development.  As the Senior Analyst, you will collaborate with the Associate Manager on both day to day and strategic initiatives and implement and identify training opportunities for new and current team members.  You will be responsible for accurate and timely accounting activities in a highly controlled environment.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment while establishing relationships within Ingredion’s Global Finance Teams including Controllers and COEs (Centers of Excellence).

Additionally, you will participate in SOX compliance and interact with our external and internal auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and prepare schedules for the Global Consolidations team.  Exceptional candidates will be critical problem solvers with focus on implementing process improvements to streamline and scale our processes for growth. Functions as a team member within the department and organization as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Core Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include leading an accounting team to deliver high quality accounting services in a timely and accurate fashion and ensuring adherence to strong internal controls.

Support the Associate Manager while ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly and yearly accounting activities as assigned and within documented controls and timeframes.Manage high priority initiatives as assigned.Partner with Finance and business teams to understand and monitor monthly activity to produce complete and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and publish internal month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.Perform or/and review accounting reconciliations and balance sheet trend analysis, as assigned.Perform or review BPC monthly reports.Perform or review service fee.Review journal entries, reclassifications, and accruals.Perform high level and high complex journal entries, reclassifications, and accruals.Management of GR/IR accounts analysis and clearing.Perform or review all the process related with intecompanies reconciliations, review intercompanies reconciliations transaction, IC balance confirmationsReview or perform survyes.Prepare reports and make recommendations that aid management in determining the proper accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Provide recommendations for process improvements.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting deadlines. Maintain and/or lead established moderately complex accounting projects as assigned by management.Enforce and maintain SOX compliance and controls for policies and procedures.Identify and review process improvement opportunities for daily, weekly, and monthly activities.Review Financial Statements and Trial Balances to identify any risks and ensure resolution with a sense of urgency.Derive and maintain relevant reporting of financial data analytics including key financial metrics for management reporting.Attend SOX reviewsAttend external and internal audits (Prepare and provide financial information for internal/external audits)Identifying process opportunity areas and coordinating the implementation of continuous improvement initiativesOther duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting+4 Years of Accounting ExperienceIntermediate English level required.Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to detail.Proven skill in promoting harmonious working relationships in a team environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of work performance, follow through on assignments, and anticipate, identify, and analyze problems and resolve or recommend course of action for resolution as appropriate.Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet timelinesExcellent communication, customer service and organizational skillsMust present a highly professional image and attitudeStrong Work ethic and the ability to meet deadlinesStrong computer skills including SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced), Powerpoint.
